Veteran Services United Consulting (VSUC) Disclaimer
Veteran Services United (VSU) is a consulting organization that provides guidance and support to veterans navigating the VA benefits claims process. VSU offers pre-filing and post-filing consulting services but does not represent veterans in the preparation, presentation, or prosecution of VA claims. VSU is not recognized by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as an accredited agent or entity and does not operate as a law firm. We do not employ attorneys, nor do we provide legal representation or advice. Any discussions of VA claims procedures, disability ratings, or benefits are based on general knowledge and should not be interpreted as legal counsel or guarantees of results. The VA alone determines benefits eligibility and award amounts.
Federal law (38 U.S.C. 5901) stipulates that only VA-recognized individuals or entities may act as agents or attorneys in the preparation, presentation, or prosecution of claims. VSU does not request power of attorney from clients and does not act as an official representative for VA claims. If any non-accredited company has requested to become your agent or asked you to sign a power of attorney for VA claim assistance, we encourage you to report such actions to the VA’s Office of General Counsel.
Veterans have access to completely free VA claims assistance through National Service Organizations (e.g., VFW, DAV), state and local veteran service officers, or VA-accredited attorneys and agents. These resources can provide official claims support at no cost. While VSU offers consulting services, veterans are not required to use our assistance to file a claim, nor does working with VSU ensure any specific outcome.
New York, New Jersey, & Maine residents: Under state laws, fees may not be collected for advising, assisting or consulting veterans on thier VA benefits claims therefore we cannot take on clients that reside in these states.
